The Locality Network

A network that belongs to its city

The Locality Network brings together the people who build their city: in business, in public life, in sport and on its streets. Each city is its own chapter, run by people who know it.

Why we exist

Big cities are full of people who would help each other if they met. Most of them never do.

Online networks are too large to trust and too far away to matter. Clubs are too expensive, or too closed, for most of the people a city actually runs on. We built something in between: a private membership, vetted with care, where members meet in person and help one another.

Members are founders and executives, professionals, public figures, athletes and the owners of local businesses. What they share is a stake in the same city.

What we believe

Local first
The best introductions happen between people who can meet for coffee next week. Every chapter is one city, and everything we do happens in it.
Vetted, for a reason
We review every applicant so that members can trust who they meet, not to keep people out for the sake of it.
Members decide
Each member chooses how visible they are, to other members and to the public. Publicly, it's never more than their name, role and photo, and nothing is sold.
Give before you ask
The network works because members answer each other's asks, host circles and make introductions.

How a chapter works

  • Each chapter has its own members, its own events and circles, and its own team.
  • A membership committee in each chapter reviews every application personally.
  • Members belong to the chapter where they live or work, and meet other members there.
